Don’t Ask Me to Move Ever Again

December 30, 2006

This article made me feel tingly all over.
Its what I try to explain to people outside of
New York City, why I deal with all the bad
stuff that comes with living here:

  • Parking tickets
  • traffic
  • expensive rent, food and services.

These people, some of them ex-patriots from “the city”,  don’t get “it” when I say, “But its New York”.  Its more than just the great bagels and pizza.  Its being apart of something bigger than you.  New York City can crush you physically and emotionally on a daily basis.  So when people say they live here, they mean survive.  its a struggle we all share and relish in.  Its our badge of honor.
